The History of Western Wedding

In the Middle Ages of western ,weddings performed were not only between two people but also during a union between two family , two businesses or even two countries.
Many weddings were more a politics than a love, especifically among the nobility and the higher social classes.

So the dress of brides wear were expected to express the classes of their families, for they were not only representing themselves during the ceremony but also their family.
Brides from wealthy families often wore the dresses which have rich colors and exclusive fabrics.Over the centuries, brides dressed in a manner with the richest, boldest materials befitting their social status all follow with higher social classes and money.
The poorest brides wore their cheap dress on their wedding day.
Today, there are wedding dresses available in all price ranges, and all colors ranges, which are now considered acceptable.
Women may purchase ready-made gowns, wear a family heirloom, or they may choose to have a dressmaker create one for her. In addition, today many bridal salons have samples of wedding gowns in their stores where the bride selects a certain style and orders one to be made to fit.
Today, Western wedding dresses are usually white, but white did not become a popular choice until 1840, after the marriage of Queen Victoria
. Victoria had worn a white gown when her marriage, then many other brides opted for a similar dress in honor of the Queen’s choice.
The tradition of wearing white wedding dress continues today, and people assumed that the color white was intended to symbolize virginity, though this had not been the original intention. Now the western wedding dress has many styles but in white colour mainly.
